Canterbury bomb hoaxers still on the loose

Detectives investigating two bomb scares which brought the centre of Canterbury to a halt in August say a sophisticated criminal operation was behind the hoaxes.

Officers will make a national TV appeal on Crimewatch this evening, and release new CCTV images in an attempt to find out who did it and why.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔs and shops in Canterbury were evacuated on Friday, 26 August, just before the bank holiday weekend, when two suspect devices were found in the city.

We talk to the London Fancy Box company based in Dover about how the current eurozone crisis is affecting their business.

The Olympic Torch has been shown off in Canterbury, the only time it will be in Kent prior to the Games next year. It was passed around among students and schoolchildren, hoping to be chosen as flame bearers, when the lit torch is carried round the country ahead of the main event.
