A leading politician says page three is not the right thing for women in the 21st Century. Is she right or just a prude?

Page three was launched in 1970 and it was not just The Sun, other newspapers like The Mirror also published pictures of semi-naked women for a while.

Labour's Deputy Leader Harriet Harman says the newspapers that persist with topless models are demeaning women.

If you have teenage daughters or granddaughters, how do you explain page three to them? Would you be shocked if they posed with their clothes off for money?

A survey carried out for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ reveals one-in-10 students will be put off going to university once higher tuition fees are introduced in 2012. Half have said they would consider studying closer to home to save money or study in other parts of the European Union if it is cheaper.
