Chatham's new bus station has opened this morning, months late and nearly Β£2m over budget. The shiny and spacious riverside depot has replaced the old dingy complex in the Pentagon Centre.

Chatham's new bus station has opened this morning, months late and nearly Β£2m over budget. The shiny and spacious riverside depot has replaced the old dingy complex in the Pentagon Centre, but traders say it has come at a huge cost to the town centre.

The town's flyover was demolished and the main road through Chatham is now closed to cars, with congestion and roadworks on surrounding routes. Many say the changes have left the town dying on its feet and the whole project simply has not been worth it.

Should we being doing more to make sure there is male teachers in our primary schools? Only one-in-seven teachers in our primary schools are men, and in 100 schools there are are no male teachers at all.

It has led some experts to suggest there should be positive discrimination in favour of men to redress the balance.

Around 1 in 4 of us will experience some kind of mental health problem during our lifetime. Anxiety and depression are the most common mental disorders in Britain, and we have some of highest rates in Europe for the number of people who self-harm.

Today is World Mental Health Day and to mark it an exhibition of art and creative writing opens at the Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells. Everything in it has been made by local people with mental health issues. Amy Cordani is one of the artists, and Valerie Gibson-Sinclair is the exhibition organiser.
