Residents on the Isle of Grain who live near to a huge natural gas terminal have demanded answers from Medway Council. More than 100 of them turned up at a public meeting last night to discuss its safety.

Summer, following public pressure.

Money advisers in Medway say the people coming to them for help now have an average debt of 拢34,000. That is nearly double what it was a year ago.

The staff at the area's Citizen's Advice Bureau are so angry they have taken the unprecedented step of demonstrating outside a money-lending shop.
