The first documentary from the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Film Unit in Northern Ireland, which looks at the problems the railways are facing. The programmes outlines the history of the Northern Ireland railway network, explains how commerce uses it and the competition it faces from buses and road transport. The film was produced by the late Harry Govan and first transmitted on 15 August 1956. It was restored by David Dillon in the early 1990s.
