The Child Sex Offender Disclosure Scheme, also known as Sarah's Law, now applies in Kent. The forces in Sussex and Surrey joined the scheme in autumn 2010. The scheme means parents, guardians and carers can find out from police if someone with access to their children has ever been convicted of child sex offences. Dominic King talks to criminologist Mark Williams-Thomas.

Dominic King discusses assaults on football referees after a Clymping FC player is banned from the club for reportedly head-butting a referee on Saturday. Figures seen by the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ show assaults on grassroots referees by footballers in England have gone up by more than a quarter in the past year. Dom is joined by former Premiership referee Paul Alcock, former QPR and Charlton striker Bradley Allen and Dermot Collins who is head of the FA's Respect campaign.

It is 40 years since the first Mr Men story was published by the late Roger Hargreaves. Roger's son, Giles Hargreaves, has written a story of Douglas the dog who cannot wag his tale. Dom chats to Giles about following in his father's footsteps.
