Skin cancer
Mervyn Wells's mole was benign but not every patient who comes to the clinic is so lucky. As the rate of skin cancer increases in Wales, Dr Morris is seeing more and more patients who are presenting with melonamas. In Wales there are 400-500 melanomas diagnosed each year - and this on top of the general day-to-day dermatlogy patients who attend skin clinics all over Wales. Dr Morris's advice to people who think that they have a problem, or a mole that has changed in nature, is to visit their general practioner.
