White deer
Fallow deer are resting under a shrub with a smaller one just tucked into the grass. Gordon Buchanan thinks it's a mother with a fawn but either the mother's pure white, or it's a fallow deer that's hanging out with a goat or a sheep! When it stands up, it's clearly a white one - an albino fallow deer. Gordon has never seen one before. Fallow deer are not indigenous to Mull - they were introduced here. There used to be some of the woodland here but Gordon hasn't seen them for years so it's quite nice to just come across them like this.
