Candiru danger
Potentially an extremely painful mistake made by humans in the Amazonian river areas is caused by a small fish, known as the candiru. Designed to fit into the gills of fish to drink their blood, the candiru fish lodges its spines into its victims and can't be dislodged. The candiru has been known to swim up the stream of urine and into intimate orifices of unsuspecting people! Mark jokes that the only defence is to tie a knot...
