About the show
The Sagittarian daughter of a Norfolk farmer, Maggie has a great love of nature and the countryside.
Maggie's first job was as a receptionist, but she found her niche when she joined Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Norfolk - the exact date of which is somewhat shrouded in the mists of time!Β
She started off as the Saturday 'Girl Friday', but within a couple of weeks was reading poems on the radio.Β
Over the years Maggie has appeared in most parts of the station's output at some point in her career. Despite retiring from Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Norfolk in December 2004, she's is still a regular face in the office and a voice that's on the air.Β
Maggie is the first to admit her worst habit is eating and it's been known for her to dispatch people to Norwich Market to procure a bacon and fried egg sandwich while she's in the studio.Β
If Maggie could holiday anywhere in the world it would be Sydney, Australia, but a little closer to home she enjoys sailing. It's handy then that her favourite place in Norfolk is on the Broads.Β
The first record Maggie ever bought was Put Your Head On My Shoulder by Paul Anka, but her favourite song these days is Tragedy by the Bee Gees.Β
Ever active, her hobbies include reading, listening to music, playing badminton, gardening and spending lots of time with her family.
