Vents and volcanoes
Filming any volcanic activity brings unique challenges. Keeping the large HD cameras steady underwater in strong currents was a struggle. When the Sierra Negra eruption occurred while the crew were filming on another island it became an exercise in rapid response. They arrived in time to film the lava still flowing, getting as close as safety and the shoe-melting heat would allow.
