Born in Bloxwich, Andrew got his first taste of radio when he won a competition on the Ed Doolan Show in 1989.
His prize was to spend a few days away from Queen Mary's School in Walsall, travelling to Cologne to compile radio reports about life in Germany for a programme Ed presented from the city. He loved it so much, the course of his career was set.
Age 16, he was given a weekly show later that year and he continued working for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ when he moved south to study at Oxford University.
Andrew has won a number of accolades in the radio industry including being named Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Local Radio Presenter of the Year in 2005 and being recognised in the Sony Radio Awards for best phone-in, best news coverage, best outside broadcast and best interview.
