TERMS & CONDITIONSΜύ
1. The giveaways are open to all residents of the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man aged 18 or over, except ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ or ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Group employees, their close relatives or anyone connected with the giveaway or the particular prize being offered. Proof of age, identity and eligibility may be required. The ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who breaches these rules.
2. The details of each prize for a particular giveaway will be announced on air including the date on which it can be redeemed.
3. The giveaway will run during a specified programme β The Beat - and tickets/merchandise will be distributed after each round. The giveaway will be running across ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Nottingham, Derby, Lincolnshire and Leicester on a simulcast, unless specified on air. Entry is via the station number 0800 0665 949 (ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Lincolnshire), 0800 678 3434 (ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Nottingham),ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ 0800 145 6161 (ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Derby) and 0808 100 1049 (ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Leicester) (calls from landlines and mobiles are free).
4. During each show in which there is going to be a giveaway, the presenter will announce a particular time that the lines will open. From this moment, the lines will then remain open for 20 minutes. Every caller who gets through during the entry period will have their name, location and contact number taken. Each participant (up to five) will be selected using an independent randomised draw system and contacted by telephone live on air. An audio ten second timer will start upon connection. If the participant says βI listen to The Beat on The Beebβ before the timer expires, they are the winner. If the participant does not say βI listen to The Beat on The Beebβ within ten seconds of the connection, the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ will contact the next eligible randomly selected entrant. This will be repeated up to a maximum of five participants. If none of these win, the prize will be rolled over to the following weekβs show.
5. For the avoidance of doubt, the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ shall not be responsible for any other fee, expense or cost. There is no cash alternative and the prize cannot be sold or transferred in any circumstances.
6. You may only enter once per giveaway and winners are not permitted to re-enter further rounds for the same prize. The ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ's decision as to entrants taking part and winners is final. No correspondence relating to the giveaway will be entered.
7. If the prize includes tickets, the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ will not be responsible for any failure by the ticket holders to gain entry or re-entry to the event due to the behaviour of the ticket holder or their failure to meet the admission requirements of the venue. The ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ will not be responsible for the winners not following instructions.
8. If the prize includes ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ merchandise, the winner cannot copy, reproduce or distribute the prize or copies of it. Any programme names, branding or logos on or associated with the prize cannot be used or reproduced by the winner in any way. The winner shall not do anything with the prize that might bring the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ in to disrepute.
9. The ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔβs holds no liability regarding the winnersβ fitness to participate in the event. If for any reason the winner is unable to participate, they will forfeit their involvement without an alternative prise offered.
10. The ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ will not be responsible for suspension or cancellation of events that form part of the prize.
11. Entrants agree to take part in any post-giveaway publicity if required. The names of winners will be made public. ΜύThe ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ reserves the right to: (i) amend these terms and conditions including, but not limited to, the competition opening and closing times; (ii) disqualify any entrant who breaches the rules, has acted fraudulently in any way or has brought the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ into disrepute; (iii) where applicable, disqualify an entrant or winner, withdraw or substitute any prize, should any entrant, winner or their guest at any stage exhibit inappropriate or dangerous behaviour (including, but not limited to being under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or chemical substances or causing a nuisance) before or whilst on air, attending ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ premises or where the prize includes attendance to an event, exclusion from that event; and (iv) impose any additional entry restrictions or requirements should the prize being offered require such restrictions or requirements (including but not limited to tickets for events with an age minimum or other entry requirements).
12. The ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ, their sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any server, system, network or service provider or otherwise which may result in any entry not being properly logged or not recorded.
13. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when registering.
14. To the extent permitted by law, the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ will not be liable for any loss or damage (whether such damage or losses were foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise) including financial, reputational loss or disappointment.
15. The giveaway is run by the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ. The applicable law is that of England and Wales.
