A reflection on the meaning of Christmas by Malcolm Guite, poet, priest and writer. In this meditation Malcolm takes us on a journey back to his childhood and a magical encounter with Father Christmas. Malcolm then turns to Mary and her plight in Bethlehem via his poem called ‘It’s Getting Darker’, commissioned by St. John’s college Cambridge, he talks of the hidden light Mary carries and the hope Jesus brings to the world.
