Actor Timothy West reads from letters he wrote to his actress wife, Prunella Scales, over a period of 30 years while on tour around the UK.
Omnibus of five episodes.
In 1961 Timothy describes appearing in 'Simple Spymen' at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham, and going to a cookery demonstration by Marguerite Patten.
In 1969 he actor performs Shakespeare in Bratislava and takes over The Old Vic.
He writes to Prunella Scales during his 1975 RSC 'Hedda Gabler' tour of Australia and America, and reflects on the Oscar ceremony for that year.
Timothy is asked to perform in The Vatican in October 1985 to mark the anniversary of the martyrdom of St Cyril and St Methodius.
In 1990 Timothy returns to the Bristol Old Vic as associate director.
Finally, in 1992, he writes from the Tivoli Theatre, Dublin, where he played King Lear.
The collection was first published in 1994.
