Usopp adamantly refuses, but when Franky forces him to look at the damage on the keel, Usopp reluctantly admits that he knew all along that Merry was approaching her end. He recounts the story of the time in Sky Island when he saw a mysterious creature repairing the ship. He thought he might have been dreaming, but Franky tells him that what he saw was a Klabautermann, the incarnation of the ship that only appears before a crew that loves and takes good care of it. While Franky and Usopp keep arguing about what to do with the Going Merry, the members of CP9 appear at the warehouse.
