Builth Wells 17
Danny gets a golden opportunity to learn about bookbinding, while Izzie Balmer and Kate Bliss dash around the stalls with their teams at an antiques fair in Builth Wells.
Danny Sebastian ventures into the Carmarthenshire countryside to meet bookbinder Philippa Räder, who used to care for the royal collection of books at Windsor Castle. In her workshop, Philippa shows Danny how she applies real gold to book covers using heated brass stamps.
In neighbouring Powys, two teams shop for antiques and collectibles at a huge fair in the company of their experts Izzie Balmer and Kate Bliss. Confident of a win are married couple Nathan and Carrie - their tactic is to buy items at a pound below the best price. Their opponents in blue are husband and wife Marta and Richard. They are on the lookout for anything 'fun, quirky and perhaps silver'.
Straight away, Kate makes a beeline for a job lot of hockey sticks and cricket bats, but the team isn’t bowled over by them. Izzie, meanwhile, steers the blues away from a ship’s wheel, and warns them against wasting time looking at a watch bracelet. Auctioneer Gareth Wasp shares his estimates with Danny before taking to the rostrum. Will either team go home with a pocketful of cash?
