As fans prepare for the arrival of series nine of the Â鶹ԼÅÄ’s long-running crime drama Shetland, actor Alison O’Donnell, who plays the much-loved character Tosh, takes an affectionate look back on the series. She recalls how she got the part and her experiences of working on the show – from the instant rapport she struck up with leading man Douglas Henshall to fake-vomiting in episode one with mouthfuls of cold potato soup, courtesy of the props department.

Alison also talks about the challenges that came when cast and crew all thought Shetland was coming to an end in series seven and the experience of swapping Douglas for new leading lady Ashley Jensen when the news came that the show would be running well into next year… and beyond?
