Pontypridd to Bee Town
Natasha Raskin Sharp goes head-to-head with James Braxton to find out who succeeds in the saleroom. Driving a 1967 Daimler Sovereign, the pair shop from Pontypridd to Monmouth.
It’s the second leg of a week-long road trip with art expert Natasha Raskin Sharp and auctioneer James Braxton. They’re driving a racing green 1967 Daimler Sovereign, and each has £200 for a spending mission that starts in Pontypridd and ends in Monmouth.
Natasha picks up a pair of 19th-century lustres, which she hopes will do the business at auction, while James takes a punt with a tin-plate toy horse.
It’s not all about the shopping, though. Along the way, James takes a detour to Penarth to meet open water swimmer Sophie Smith to learn about a trailblazing inspiration from the 1920s. James even dips his toes while he’s there!
With one expert leading 1-0 in our best of five competition, can the other level the scores when the pair visit the saleroom in Winchester?
