The race is now between Nami鈥檚 team, Luffy鈥檚 team, and Portier鈥檚 team of the Foxy Pirates. They approach the Long Coral Reef, where long corals jut out of the ocean. Nami notices something strange about the currents, and intentionally lets Portier鈥檚 Cutie Wagon pass them. Getting a hint from Portier鈥檚 failure in the reef, Nami cleverly finds the right current, and navigates her Barrel Tiger and Luffy鈥檚 Ma-eekada out to the other side where the Long Ring whirlpool awaits them. Usopp fires the Impact Dial to blast their way out of the whirlpool. But Luffy鈥檚 raft breaks apart in the process, and his team is disqualified from the race. From there to the goal, Foxy tries a number of times to interfere with Nami鈥檚 team, but to no avail. However, just as the Barrel Tiger is about to cross the goal, Foxy uses his Noro Noro Beam to slow them down. Foxy has the power of the Noro Noro Devil Fruit, which has given him the power to release Slowpoke Photons that slow people down. Having won the first round of the Davy Back Fight, Foxy takes Chopper from the Straw Hat Pirates. Round Two is the Glocky Ring, which Zolo and Sanji must fight without Chopper, who was originally one of the contestants. Their opponents are three giant monsters that have never lost this event.
