Gary Davies sits in for Vernon Kay and welcomes Hollywood royalty-turned-jazz-superstar Jeff Goldblum who’ll be entertaining us with his musical memories all week on Tracks Of My Years.

Jeff made his film debut 50 years ago in Death Wish, but really shot to fame, demonstrating his unique acting talents in the sci-fi horror The Fly in 1986. Since he’s starred in a series of iconic films including Jurassic Park, Independence Day and β€œThe Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

Now as well known for his music as his acting, Jeff has released three jazz albums with his band The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, and recently released a cover version of Taylor Swift's Lover.

At the start of July Jeff launched a new Radio 2 series called The Power of Jazz and has also curated a special jazz playlist as part of ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 2 Loves Jazz season, which you can enjoy on ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Sounds.

He’ll be back on our cinema screens in the autumn playing the Wizard in the much anticipated film adaptation of Wicked and in August he's starring as Zeus in the Netflix series KAOS, a contemporary and comic take on Greek mythology.
