The Phoney Cancellation Form
A man’s been told he’s accidentally taken out an Amazon subscription and needs to fill out a cancellation form if he wants his cash back. But in fact, it’s all part of a scam.
A man believes he’s accidentally taken out a subscription with Amazon Prime, and he wants his money back. What he doesn’t know is he’s really talking to scammers, and the cancellation form they’re asking him to fill in is actually a fast track to giving them his hard-earned cash. That is, unless the Interceptors can get hold of him before he parts with any money.
Meanwhile, we hear from a woman that handed over Β£20,000 to fraudsters she thought were helping her take advantage of a government energy rebate.
