Camilla: Portrait Of A Queen

In what has been a challenging year for the monarchy, Zoe Ball looks at how the Queen is shaping her new role - with insights from Her Majesty's friends and charities.

In this special programme to celebrate the birthday of Her Majesty The Queen, presenter Zoe Ball looks at Her Majesty’s role as Duchess of Cornwall and as Queen in the twelve months since the Coronation at Westminster Abbey.

Including contributions from longstanding personal friends such as Gyles Brandreth; colleagues from her charities The Royal Osteoporosis Society, Helen and Douglas House, SafeLives and The Queen’s Reading Room; and the Commanding Officer of the Royal Lancers on her role as their Colonel-in-Chief.

With insights from Professor Anna Whitelock, historian, author and broadcaster, and Professor of the History of Monarchy at City, University of London and Director of the Centre for the Study of Modern Monarchy.

The people who know and work with Her Majesty share their insights and thoughts about her role, both as an advocate and as Queen, and look at how she is helping to shape the monarchy in the reign of King Charles III.
