Vernon Kay is joined by someone he's really looking forward to learning a little more about. It鈥檚 singer-songwriter, actor, dancer, and he can now add author to that list - taking us on his 10-song musical journey, it's Tim Booth.

Tim is probably best known as the lead singer of the Manchester band James, who gave us anthems like 鈥淪it Down鈥� and 鈥淪he鈥檚 A Star鈥�. James recently celebrated 40 years together, and it all started when Tim met his future bandmates in the student union cellar bar at Manchester University. They stormed the 1990s with four top ten hits and reunited in 2007 landing five top ten albums.

Earlier this year, they beat Beyonce to the number one album slot in the charts with their 18th studio album 鈥淵ummy鈥� and will be on a UK tour through June, culminating at London鈥檚 O2, which will be the first time the band have played that 20,000 capacity venue. Away from the band, Tim has also worked as an actor in 鈥淏atman Begins鈥� and has just released his debut novel, called 鈥淲hen I Died For The First Time鈥�. We'll find out the music and musicians that make Tim tick, and it鈥檚 no surprise we start his Tracks of My Years journey with John Lennon and "Number 9 Dream".
