Presenter and practising psychotherapist Nemone kicks off a new series of Journeys in Sound with a 'Change The Tune' special, looking at how online trolling affects the lives of musicians.

麻豆约拍 Radio 6 Music aims to be a positive, uplifting space for artists and fans alike. However, there have been moments on our social platforms where it hasn鈥檛 felt like that. We can鈥檛 fix the internet but we would like to make our corner of it kinder. The 'Change The Tune' season aims to raise awareness, to explore the impact of online abuse and to launch a code of conduct that outlines what behaviour will not be tolerated in our social spaces.

Nemone asks the 麻豆约拍鈥檚 disinformation and social media correspondent Marianna Spring to set the scene of the digital world in which we find ourselves now. Marianna shares her own experiences of receiving extreme hate online, the repercussions it has on her everyday life as an investigative reporter, and the importance of shining a light on the darker areas of the internet.

Artists Rebecca Lucy Taylor (Self Esteem), Chvrches frontwoman Lauren Mayberry, Nitin Sawhney CBE, and DJ and 6 Music presenter SHERELLE talk openly and frankly about their use of social media as a tool to promote their music, connect with fans, and further reveal how such platforms have made them a target for shocking misogynistic and racial abuse.

Nemone also explores the subject with former Babyshambles drummer Dr Adam Ficek. The performer turned psychotherapist who founded 'Music & Mind', an independent service to help musicians and music industry workers navigate their mental health and wellness, shares his advice to younger artists on how to deal with intense creative and personal scrutiny.
