Romesh Ranganathan chooses his Tracks Of My Years
Radio 2's new Saturday mid-morning presenter Romesh Ranganathan chooses his Tracks Of My Years all this week. Plus thereβs a new Album and Record Of The Week and Ten To The Top.
Radio 2's new Saturday mid-morning presenter - comedian and actor Romesh Ranganathan - chooses the songs that soundtrack his life all this week on Tracks Of My Years.
Having taught maths at the secondary school he went to as a kid, Romesh left his job to start doing comedy full-time in 2011.
Since then, Romesh has appeared on countless panel shows, embarked on sold out UK tours and presented a variety of different shows, whether off round the world with his mum in βAsian Provocateurβ or taking up the mantle of presenter of the iconic βThe Weakest Linkβ. He also writes and stars in the sitcom Avoidance, a new series of which is on the way.
Romesh is currently on his nearly sold out UK tour, Hustle, which runs until the start of June. As well as presenting For The Love Of Hip Hop on Saturday mornings midnight β 1am, heβs also taking over from Claudia Winkleman on ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 2 from 10am-1pm on Saturdays from April.
Romeshβs first two tracks this week come from Evelyn Champagne King & Bob Marley.
There'll also be more audio nuggets from the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Archive in Vernon's Vault; there's a new Record and Album Of The Week and itβs a brand new week for the mid-morning music quiz, Ten To The Top.
