Good Friday: A Mother, A Son

Drawing from the Good Friday story, we'll hear stories of women's fears and hopes for their children, with former Moderator of the Kirk's General Assembly, Very Rev Lorna Hood.

When the newly-born Jesus was presented at the Temple, the old man Simeon who received him told Mary, β€˜A sword will pierce your own soul too’. She no doubt feared for her son throughout his life, and her worst fears were realised on Good Friday. Drawing from that story, we’ll hear stories of women who live in fear for their sons and daughters, along with the joy of their bonds with them. Presenter: Very Rev Lorna Hood, former Moderator of the Kirk's General Assembly.
