Anna celebrates women in folk - the musicians, the producers, those who inspire the music and everything in between.

And in the second hour HEISK takeover the airwaves for International Women's Day. United by a mission to amplify the voices of women and gender minorities in the traditional music scene, HEISK are a vibrant six-piece band with female empowerment at the fore. Their debut self-titled album served as a testament to their vision - a collaboration of exceptionally talented women, ranging from musicians and engineers to PR specialists, photographers, agents, and managers. Their most recent project went one step further and involved a mentoring program to develop opportunities for underrepresented young women and gender minorities. Isla Callister and Megan MacDonald & Sally Simpson present a specially curated playlist of women who've inspired the band.
