with Zara Janjua

Does sharing our personal matters help us? Does social media highlight how unforgiving we have become? And delving into Rastafari ahead of the release of Bob Marley: One Love.

Church of Scotland minister and yoga teacher Pauline Steenbergen explores the season of Lent through a unique blend of classical Hatha Yoga practice and Christian spirituality; the subject of her book Embody Lent.

Author Nuzha Nuseibeh speaks to Zara Janjua about her new book Namesake, Reflections on a Warrior Woman, which combines the story of her ancestor who was one of the most legendary female warriors in Islamic history, along with her own reflections of being an Arab woman in the 21st century.

Ahead of the cinematic release of Bob Marley: One Love, Zara delves into Rastafari, the spiritual movement that Marley followed, with councillor and practicing Rastafarian Graham Campbell.

From 9 to 10, Zara is joined by Rosa Murray, who works in teacher education in the University of Edinburgh, and is a practising Catholic, Sheikh Hassan Rabbani, a Muslim chaplain and a counsellor, and Fiona Stewart, a writer who runs a Christian arts charity, to discuss some of the big topical events. In light of the King’s cancer diagnosis being made public, they’ll discuss if sharing more personal information about ourselves can help unburden us and allow connection with others. After the Archbishop of Canterbury’s recent comments about how we need to be more forgiving as a society around our online behaviour, Zara and her panel consider how we can all make more room for forgiveness. And as Lent approaches, the panel explore the spiritual benefits of fasting and abstinence.
