PHONE-IN
There's been another significant and worrying development in global warming. For the first time, average temperatures have been more than one-point-five degrees above pre-industrial levels for a full twelve-month period. But a specific pledge made by world leaders in Paris in 2015 to limit increases is still holding.
In addition, Labour will announce today that it's ditching a promise to spend 28 billion pounds a year on environmental projects if it wins the coming election. The flagship policy was first announced by the party in 2021. Sources within Labour insist the plan itself is not being dropped.
Stephen asks: climate change - are we doing enough?
