Kayleigh has cerebral palsy and is very independent, and deserves to be able to travel without fear of harassment or abuse. United Response supported her after she was subjected to disability hate crime.聽

Thousands of disability hate crimes are reported each year but many more people don鈥檛 realise they are a victim of hate crime, so don鈥檛 report it. United Response supports a third-party reporting centre to encourage people to report hate crimes.

Why this matters?
鈥�I get a feeling that someone鈥檚 going to say something to me. It鈥檚 alright, I say; sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. 聽But it鈥檚 not easy. United Response helped support me to keep my independence.鈥�
