Ruck and Rolland: Gary Slaymaker's Rugby World Cups
In a live stand-up show, Gary Slaymaker takes us through the highs and the woes of supporting Wales in his personal recollections of Rugby World Cups since 1987.
Gary Slaymaker takes us on a personal journey of his memories supporting Wales during the Rugby World Cups. Recorded in front of a live audience, his stand up show is full of laughs as he looks back at some World Cup highlights such as Jonah Lomu trampling over Mike Catt. There are also low points - the humiliation of losing to Western Samoa, the anger at Alain Rolland's dubious decision in sending off Sam Warburton for a tip tackle and the sadness of losing his father during the World Cup of 1999.
But with his usual humour and wit, Gary remains optimistic and looks forward to the Rugby World Cup 2023.
