At least 25 Scots have travelled to Swiss clinics where assisted dying is possible according to a campaigning charity. Friends at the End said they support a members Bill due to be published in the Scottish Parliament to enable mentally competent adults to be provided with help to end their life if they request it. A Scottish Government spokesperson said they will carefully consider the substance of any Bill that is introduced.
