What are Feelings Groups?
Feelings Groups provide peer-group support for children or young people, to talk about their feelings in a safe setting; enabling emotional healing to take place. These groups have a structured approach to wellbeing, guided by the experience of the child.
Meet Elisha
Elisha attended a Feelings Group. She didnβt trust easily but she listened to children sharing and joined in. Β Β One day she wrote about her familyβs life story and read it aloud to the group.Β The Feeling Group became her safe place to share.
Childrenβs thoughts
βThe Feelings Group is like a big family and aways there for you. It helps with our feelings and mental wellbeing. It is a safe place.β Lucy, year 6.
