In the final debate of the SNP leadership campaign, the three candidates were asked if it was right to teach children about gender identity in schools. Kate Forbes said parents had approached her who were worried about what their children were being taught. Ash Regan also had concerns about parents not being involved and said she would 鈥渓ook into it鈥� as First Minister. While Humza Yousaf said schools need to be a 鈥渟afe space鈥� for young people who can鈥檛 speak to their parents about their gender identity.
