With Burns Night just round the corner, Cathy MacDonald will be joined by multi-lingual researcher, writer and translator Ashley Douglas to discuss what needs to be done to ensure that Scots language is nurtured throughout the year.

Plus, Robert Burns has been translated for centuries in Ukraine. Archivist and Trustee of the Ukrainian Community in Edinburgh Peter Kormylo shares the poet’s links to their own bard Taras Shevchenko.

To mark the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of Victims of the Holocaust we revisit an interview with Zdenka FantlovΓ΅ who passed away last year at the age of 100. Her autobiography The Tin Ring details her story of survival.
