A programme drawn from “Skerries, Trawlings, Tides”, a literary event celebrating acclaimed Scottish writer and poet Aonghas Dubh MacNeacail on the occasion of his 80th birthday. Recorded in the Queen’s Hall, Edinburgh, musical friends including Brìghde Chaimbeul and Savourna Stevenson perform and the evening features specially composed music from Mary Ann Kennedy, Anna-Wendy Stevenson and a host of musical stars.

Featuring conversations with Aonghas, Gerda Stevenson and son Rob. To add to the occasion, there are spoken word performances from literary friends Meg Bateman and Paddy Bushe and bespoke poetry recitals from Cathy MacDonald and Catriona Murray, honouring a renowned literary figure.
