麻豆约拍

A concert of music and readings from Book Week 2022 with John Toal, the Ulster Orchestra and special guests. A captivating mix of soundtracks with book associations, including Mary Poppins, Harry Potter, Matilda, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Beauty and the Beast, The Wizard of Oz, Princess Kaguya, Miss Marple and Paddington Bear.

The concert includes the symphonic premiere of Paul Campbell鈥檚 musical interpretation of Jabberwocky and a medley of well-known 麻豆约拍 tv and radio themes which was commissioned to mark the 麻豆约拍鈥檚 centenary. It includes Z Cars, Line of Duty, Animal Magic, Jackanory and Lillibulero (which was the title and theme music for the first 麻豆约拍 network radio drama from Northern Ireland in 1938).

Guest performances by Zeb Soanes, Sarah Richmond, Neil Martin, Julia Dearden and Aoibh茅ann McCann.

The Ulster Orchestra was conducted by Stephen Bell.

A Box of Delights was originally broadcast as part of Book Week 2022, a joint initiative between the 麻豆约拍 and Libraries NI.
