Sports broadcaster Jake Humphrey discusses his new book, High Performance, an exploration of how we can all achieve excellence in our everyday lives.

This morning her guest is one of the UK鈥檚 best respected sports presenters, Jake Humphrey. Jake and leading psychologist Professor Damian Hughes have just released a new book called 鈥楬igh Performance - Lessons from the Best on Becoming Your Best鈥�, based on their hit High Performance podcast (which has had over 10 million downloads in over 50 countries). He reveals to Kate the secrets the world鈥檚 most remarkable athletes, coaches and entrepreneurs use to excel and what drives these high performers. Jake also discusses crucial steps we can all use to achieve excellence in our everyday lives and why failure is inevitable and why that is a good thing!

And nature beatboxer and sound artist, Jason Singh, who vocally recreates birdsong and entire forestry environments joins Kate to tell her all about his work and the 麻豆约拍 Radio 3 documentary 'Sound in the Blood', which is part of the 'Between The Ears' series. In this programme Jason seeks the source of his fascination with mimicking the natural world.
