mothers2mothers: ending HIV is just the start

mothers2mothers (m2m) is an African health charity that empowers women to eliminate paediatric AIDS and create healthy families. m2m trains and employs women living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa as frontline health workers. These β€œmentor mothers” become role models who help women and families at health facilities and in their communities access essential services and medical care, and startβ€”and stay onβ€”any treatment they need.

Nozi

Nozi
Our appeal is presented by Nozi Samela, a former m2m client and mentor mother from South Africa. Nozi will share how a terrifying HIV diagnosis at only 19 years old turned into a new life full of potential, and a desire to give back to her peers.

Health, hope, and an HIV-free Future

Health, hope, and an HIV-free Future
Mentor mothers like Nozi are able to deliver life-changing services to women, children, adolescents, and entire families. Women like Tholang in Lesotho, who thanks to the support of her mentor mother was able to give birth to a healthy, HIV-free baby.

Leaving no one behind

Leaving no one behind
COVID-19 is threatening decades of progress made by m2m and preventing health workers from getting to families who need us the most. Your support will give health workers the support and protection to carry out their work while they seek to end HIV.
