Find Your Feet

Find Your Feet is a charity that works with rural communities in Africa and Asia to help families build a future free from hunger, poverty and poor health. We help families to access vital services, to grow enough food so they don’t go hungry, to strengthen their voice so they can speak out against injustice and to earn enough money so they can find their feet. Our approach is not to dictate how the people we work with tackle the poverty they face. Instead, we help them to decide how they want to build a better future. We listen and provide people with the skills, training and confidence they need to help themselves.

Fighting stigma around mental illness

Fighting stigma around mental illness
In our ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 4 appeal, you’ll hear about John whose son experienced psychosis. John now volunteers in his community, helping to challenge misconceptions around mental health and providing support to families dealing with mental health issues.

Developing sustainable livelihoods

Developing sustainable livelihoods
People living in rural communities in Africa and Asia often struggle to earn enough to feed and support their families. We work with local community leaders to help people develop sustainable livelihoods and mutual support groups.

Supporting health workers

Supporting health workers
We train and assist health professionals to support people that have too often been neglected. We also advocate for systemic change so that people are less likely to experience situations which impact negatively on their health and wellbeing.
