Michael McEwan speaks to three inspirational Scottish athletes who have been chosen to represent Team GB at this year’s Paralympic games in Tokyo.
At the age of 14, Samantha Kinghorn was left unable to walk after an accident left her paralysed from the waist down. But less than 4 years later, she competed at her first Paralympic Games and has since become one of the country’s leading wheelchair athletes.
Libby Clegg is registered blind but she’s also one of the fastest female sprinters in the UK. She tells Michael about how her mental health was impacted after achieving her dream of becoming a double gold Paralympic medallist.
Robyn Love has literally had to jump through hoops to earn her place on the GB wheelchair basketball team and she speaks to Michael about the pride she felt knowing that she was the first Scottish female to represent team GB since 2000.
