Jennifer and Martha drop a cheesecake round for Shula as a thank you for her support with Alice. Jennifer explains relations with the Carters have improved since Alice went back to rehab, though Susan and Neil appear shattered. Shula suggests the Flower and Produce Show could be a distraction for Jennifer, but with everything going on Jennifer doesn’t think she’ll bother this year.
Lily and Russ check in to Grey Gables. Exhausted Roy messes up their booking twice and Tracy has to resolve the situation. She finds Roy dozing at Reception, and informs him Joy wants a word. Joy and Roy exchange raffle prizes – her hip flask for his ride in Eddie’s limo. Tracy sends Roy off for a power nap, he’s no good to anyone in this state.
Tracy reminds Russ and Lily that she still owes them a dinner; they must come round to hers. She suggests next Thursday, with her and Jazzer. To Russ’s annoyance Lily accepts. With a lame excuse he apologises to Tracy; they won’t be able to make dinner after all. Tracy admits that she wanted to pick their brains over Chelsea. Both Lily and Russ offer encouragement and suggest college as an option for her. To Lily’s surprise Russ changes his mind and tells Tracy they can make next week’s dinner. Russ is impressed with Tracy’s support for her daughter. In turn Lily’s impressed with her man’s kindness, and suggests they make the most of their night away.
