KK Downing
KK Downing, ex Judas Priest guitarist, chooses his Rock God plus Johnnie highlights a big chart entry for The Who in 'This Week In Rock'.
KK Downing was there from the start with Judas Priest, helping to form the band in Birmimgham in 1969. After decades of success with the band, KK took the decision to leave in 2011. He's back with a new outfit, KK's Priest and a new album from his latest project will be released in August. His Rock God is no surprise, but his story of meeting his hero is one that few could tell!
Elsewhere on the show, Johnnie looks back at a big chart entry for The Who for 'This Week In Rock' and plays a track from Weezer's new 80s inspired rock album, 'Van Weezer'. Expect a 00's rock cover of Bob Dylan to celebrate Bob's big birthday and Johnnie recalls introducing Led Zeppelin on stage at Earls Court in '75.
