Bernie Marsden
Guitarist Bernie Marsden chooses his Rock God.
By the time Bernie Marsden joined the first line-up of Whitesnake in 1978, he'd already cut his teeth on the British rock circuit. Playing with the likes of UFO, Babe Ruth and Paice, Ashton Lord had set him in good stead for tenure in what was to become one of the best known classic rock bands of all time. He set about co-writing some of the band's best known tracks, most notably 'Here I Go Again', which first appeared on the 1982 album 'Saints and Sinners' before it was revamped in 1987 for the MTV era.
Since his departure from the mighty 'Snake, Bernie hasn't stopped playing. His chosen Rock God is a man who started out as one of his guitar heroes and ended up being a good friend. Listen to find out who it is!
Elsewhere on the show, Johnnie pays tribute to one the most iconic rock voices of the 1990's for 'This Week In Rock'. Expect the cream of this week's new releases and some serious classic tracks, too.
