Lawrence Okolie tells Zoe the inspiring story of how he became a professional boxer. Kate Winslet talks to Zoe about her first TV drama in 10 years.

Lawrence Okolie, the fast food worker turned professional boxer, tells Zoe about his inspiring story. In 2012 Lawrence was serving burgers at McDonald's when he saw Anthony Joshua on TV boxing at the London Olympics. He decided there and then that he would become an Olympic boxer too, and he did. Four year later he represented Great Britain at the Olympics, and in 2017 he turned professional. Lawrence changed his life. He's now written a book telling his story - Dare to Change Your Life.

Kate Winslet, the Academy Award winning actress, tells Zoe about her new drama Mare of Eastttown which is her first TV role in 10 years. It's a limited 7-part drama mystery series starring Kate as Mare Sheehan, a small-town Pennsylvania detective who investigates a local murder as her own life crumbles around her. It's an exploration into the dark side of a close community and an authentic examination of how family and past tragedies can define our present. Kate is one of the world's most celebrated actors who's won countless awards including an Oscar, 3 BAFTAs, 4 Golden Globes, an Emmy and a Grammy,

Pause For Thought

I remember it like it yesterday. April 7thÌý1997. I was 10.ÌýÌýMy sister and I woke up and as usual we rolled out of our bunk beds to run for a morning cuddle with my mum. We found an empty bed and heard my Dad on the phone in the kitchen. Then he ran into the living room and bowed down with a big thud in front of our home shrine, saying a prayer of gratitude with, I think, some tears mixed in – it’s always a bit shocking to see your Dad cry, even happy tears, so it really stuck with me!

He told us that our new baby brother had arrived and that we were off to Watford hospital to meet him. We went and bought grapes and orange juice at the shop over the road, and soon found ourselves walking down the shiny hospital corridors. I’d hardly ever been in a hospital and my heart was pounding – maybe nervous about what I might see.

Our brother was a squishy red faced, red haired blob and we fell in love instantly. He had no name yet – just Baby Harrison. Our dear family friend happened to be the midwife that delivered him, and that very day aged 8, my sister decided to become a midwife too, which she is today!

Hindus believe that there are no accidents - individual souls are born into the same family for a reason. Every member has something to share and teach the others, even in times of conflict. Each relationship in a family is special in its own way, and brothers hold a very special place, with two annual festivals called Raksha Bandhan and Bhai Dooj, celebrating that loving and protective bond between brother and sister.

Today my brother Mali is 24. Time is passing. Our beloved friend who delivered him sadly passed away last year. From being a little boy in my arms who said ‘vench-table’ instead of vegetable…he now voice notes me his beautiful piano compositions and gives me shockingly good advice. And since he’s that kind of guy, even though it’s his birthday, this is not just about him – this is a thank you, to all little brothers, everywhere. You may be annoying, but you’re loved, special and amazing.Ìý
