Poetry with Roger McGough
Cerys revisits the 6 Music Festival in Liverpool with another chance to hear her conversation with Roger McGough. Plus archive festival tracks from Julia Jacklin, Baloji and more.
Cerys hand picks tracks from her favourite 6 Music Festival performances. There's new performances from Michael Kiwanuka and Nubya Garcia as well as archive live tracks from Ibibio Sound Machine, Hot 8 Brass Band, King Creosote, Public Service Broadcasting, The Comet is Coming, Baloji, Julia Holter and Julia Jacklin. Cerys also looks back at her interview with poet Roger McGough. The conversation was recorded at the 6 Music Festival in Liverpool back in 2019, at a time when Roger published his collection of poems, Joined Up Writing. The collection explored the human experience in all its shades of light and dark in Roger's signature witty style.
