It’s all about three this week; a third series for β€œHame”, reaching number 3 in The Charts and the third Steinbeck festival.

ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ NI’s Ulster-Scots programme Hame returns for its third series, bringing the bagpipes to the UK charts and getting ready for this year’s Steinbeck festival.

Joining the Kintra team this week is Ruth Saunderson, co-presenter of β€œHame” on ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ NI with chat about the third series that starts this week.

Helen Mark hears more about the music featuring in this year’s Steinbeck Festival, Rab Lennox chats to the singer-songwriter – and bagpipe player – who’s brought his local pipe band to number 3 in the UK charts with a song from The Greatest Showman, and Jonnie Crawford talks to the author of a new book that tells the story of seven Ulster-Scots who made their mark on Canada.

The Kintra folk love to hear from listeners – so why not get in touch with a yarn or maybe even suggest a tune you’d love to hear – you can email them at kintra@bbc.co.uk
