The Ulster-Scots take on the food of love, Valentine cards and tales of enduring romance

For St Valentine’s day, we’ve the Ulster-Scots take on the food of love, greetings cards and tales of enduring romance with guests Carole Gilmore and Paula McIntyre.

The Ulster-Scots are better known for affectionate insults than words of love, so keep that in mind for this week’s nod towards St Valentine’s day! Paula McIntyre suggests food to warm the heart of an Ulsterman while Portavogie’s Carole Gilmore remembers keeping an eye on Valentine cards crossing the counter of her Post Office desk. We’ve stories of long-lasting love from local couples and a yarn about the unlikely union of a couple of thran neighbours from story-teller Liz Weir.

This week’s team includes Helen Mark, Rab Lennox and Willie Hill.
The Kintra folk love to hear from listeners – so why not get in touch with a yarn or maybe even suggest a tune you’d love to hear – you can email them at kintra@bbc.co.uk
