Phone In: The school week should be extended by eight hours in a £130 million rescue plan to make up for lost lessons during lockdown according to a leading Scottish education expert. It comes as England’s education tsar Sir Kevan Collins told the Â鶹ԼÅÄ that extra hours of academic learning - as well as sport, music and drama - will be needed to help pupils make up ground following the pandemic and that summer schools ‘had promise’.
